From Amy Teets (MI): When I first decided to join the HGP family, it was so scary! I have had a fear of public speaking since I can remember, and this was a big obstacle to overcome. To my surprise, it was easier than I ever thought it could have been. And the self-confidence I gained is phenomenal! But, the most important thing I have gained in the last year, is my relationship with God. I always thought that I believed in God, and in the power of prayer. Yet, after the last months, I've really been shown differently. This, I believe, is where HGP has led me to this awareness. I was in awe with the amount of support from a group of people I didn't even know - and how welcome I felt. Lisa's inspirational quotes were awesome and helped me many days. The newsletter, again was an inspiration all of its own. This was the start of a new awareness of my own spirituality. I've really learned that believing in God isn't enough. Now that I have given up my life to Christ, my life is taking a turn in the "right" direction. Without my experience with HGP, I don't know that I would be at this point in my life. I truly believe that being a designer with HGP wasn't about the "product" (even though I am in love with it all), but it was about the people I have come in contact with who have ultimately led me to where I am now. "Thank you" to each and every person who has touched my life isn't enough. This experience with HGP wasn't what I thought it would be. What started out as a way to have some "me time" and to help out our family monetarily, has turned into a life altering experience. |
